FAQ

Jesus Reigns will utilize a Biblical lens to couple Montessori with problem-based learning for K-2 learners. Beginning in third grade, Jesus Reigns will primarily emphasize problem-based learning.

Jesus Reigns will report the learner’s progress utilizing a standards-based model. The learner & educator decide how the learner will demonstrate mastery of concepts and learning goals. Jesus Reigns will not use a one-size-fits-all model that forces learners to progress before ready.

In a learner-centered environment, the concept of average is considered detrimental to the learning process and the learner’s ability to catapult potential. Therefore, the learner and the educator will work together to help the learner create a plan for successfully meeting goals and demonstrating mastery.

Several scriptures act as guides for discipline. First, Matthew 5:23ff teaches the principle of reconciliation. Montessori encapsulates this principle with its Peace Table process. Second, Jesus teaches the power of forgiveness in Luke 6:27ff. Third, Jesus Reigns will do everything to keep the learner in the learning environment so that learning can continue. However, we recognize certain infractions necessitate family involvement and a change of environment.
